Im thinking about picking one up, im not sure of the model but its like a 1200 dollar power conditioner for like 275 at a magnolia hifi thats going out of business. Is that a good deal and is it a decent power conditioner ? Thanks much in advance but please hurry im out the door in about 15 minutes to check it out before they close :)

I look forward to reading if you got it. Panamax makes nice stuff, IMO. $275 isn't a bad price, depending on which model you are getting. I would have gone with a Panamax, but my Belkin was quite a bit cheaper at the time (about $130). I really only got it for surge protection, as I don't give power conditioning much credit - but it did take the hum out of my cable line, so I'm quite happy that I got it.

I had a Panamax 1500 and it was a great unit. Built like a tank and loads of nice features and protection. Good luck!

I Think I Did Good

Well considering they were blowing so much out I think I did good because I only left with the bluray ice age and...................:D A Furman elite-20PFi power factor :D I scored it for 275.00 and I beleive they retail for around 1200.00 dollars or so . I cant beleive the power cord on this thing its fricken huge and its pretty heavy and looks like a quailty piece. Heres the link let me know if you guys think I did good . http://www.furmansound.com/product.php?div=02&id=ELITE-20PFi

Man, Amazon has those for $175 - and you'd even get free two-day shipping. Bummer.

:D Hee, hee. Nope, just kidding. $1100 at Amazon. You got a very nice price. I don't know jack about Furman stuff, though, so I'll just say that it looks nice.

I think Panamax and Furman are hand in hand and just another branch or division in the same compamy but I could be wrong. I went to get or see the Panamax And they sold it 15 minutes before I got there but the salesman told me this was a higher end model furman then the panamax he had. He had this one stashed in the back and I couldnt resist when he brought it out:D

Ok heres some pics of my New Furman at first I couldnt really tell any difference in video/audio quality but after a few hours call me crazy I swear my picture looks like it has more color threw the cable box but haven't watched any blurays yet tonight its to late so it going to have to wait till tomorrow. But I know for sure on my AVR the volume doesnt need to be up nearly as much as before almost it seems like double the volume like at -18 is what it was like at -9:eek: and its sounds more crisp and clear but that part could be just in my mind but its definitaley seems to have more power now ...strange but good. anyway heres some pics of my new edition

Well I'd be surprised if you're seeing any difference without anything plugged in...;)

Nice!

Seriously, I have no life.
PanaMax and Furman are part of the same corporation and both have a long reputation for high quality goods. The peak current is one of the reasons I used the PF-15i in a system a couple of years ago, and another is from having picked the brain of the Sr Design Engineer at Furman and was extremely helpful.

Here's a shot of the rack- it's at the top and I used the 12V trigger input to turn the Audio Research power amp. The McIntosh at the bottom has a triggered input, so I used that for the whole house audio.

Cool then I got a good one then :D Nice Rack BTW :D Im trying to figure out what the trigger thing is  I hooked everything up like the instructions said but I pushed the bypass button in for the trigger and just leave the furman on all the time. Does the trigger option when on mean I can turn off the furman and when using my remote control for things pluged into the trigger it'll turn on and the other plugs that arent triggered get juice all the time ? Sorry im new to this power conditioner thing and triggers lol:confused:
