Ok, I got everything set up Friday and have put quite a few miles on this setup already:
My gear is listed here:

I am a software developer by trade, I wrote a web application to sort of tell the story of unboxing and setting these up, which is here:

That link requires the Silverlight browser plug in (works in Firefox/mac/everywhere). Don't be lazy, its a quick download and I think its pretty sweet.
Ok, how do they sound? Obviously no normal human would buy $20k speakers and say anything but "They are the greatest frickin' thing I've ever heard." , so its hard to approach the topic of "reviewing" these. I don't want to spout a bunch of glowing praise that Tom would call "re-spewer jargon", but here are my quick impressions until I can get around to a great big formal review:
For 2 channel music and movies, my feeling is we "live in the midrange". With that said, the zero-distortion midrange on this speaker is just so clear it's scary. The sparkle from cymobls and detail in the high end is revealing details I hadn't really heard before in recordings I've listened to a thousand times, like Steely Dan "Home at last". The bass is equally smooth and detailed, and has punch but is not boomy. Its a tired cliche, but I'm rediscovering my music collection one disc at a time.
I'm working on a real review, but its going to take a while. If you're anywhere near Wisconsin, I'm having a listening party next weekend.
