Pairing JBL L226W with a JBL LC2

I want to get inwall speakers for the Left and Right for a couple of reasons. Aesthetics and also because I have little kids running around so I really don't want free standing ones. My plan is to just set a JBL LC2 on the tv stand and mount the TV directly above it. Would this be ok paired with 2 L226Ws? They both seem to be from the studio L series so I'm assuming they are voicematched?

The best match for the LC2, if you want wall mounted, is the L820. Get a pair of those, wall mount them with your tv and center channel, and you will have a very nice, clean install, with great sound.

The issue with not wall mounting the LC2 is its design (which is specifically intended to be wall mounted). The speaker is unusually tall, and also unusually shallow, so it would be unsteady if standing up. I would fear that, in a house with children, it could be knocked over.

Go to the JBL.com site, for a look at the L820 & LC2 wall mounted together, along with a television.

Right now I have my LC2 wall mounted, and am using the L890 towers, along with the L830 as rears, L820 as sides, and the L8400P sub. I am very pleased with the sound and terrific value. I also bought two extra sets of L820 and another L8400P for the future, if I decide to change the setup.
