That is insane!

I’ve jumped of a 76ft waterfall when the water level was 12ft below normal, so the actual height was 88ft. In hindsight it is probably one of the dumber risks that I’ve taken. Now that I’m a bit older the sense of invulnerability has some how escaped me.;)

You mean now you have a bit more information in hand? Yes, they were playing Russian Roulette. Very lucky. Unfortunately some will try to imitate it and end up dead most likely.

Yeah, all the dumb things I've done...I wonder sometimes how I survived adolescence. Oh wait...maybe I didn't. ;)

Hey, don't sell yourself short! That shows that you are a true rebel. I bet that your mom told you not to do that, but what did you do? You did it anyway. I'll bet that his mom didn't tell him when he was growing up to never kayak over a 186-foot-high waterfall. Now, had he done it just because somebody else did it, that would be a different story. :)

That is a great accomplishment for a kayaker. and 50% higher than has ever been done before. Do note this guy wasn't an ameatur. Clearly a pro with plenty of waterfall jumps.

Yeeehawww!!!!

I have lived a little closer to the edge than some, but I've never been tempted to go right over.

I still remember a guy that attempted to ski down Mt. McKinley. When they pulled him off the side of the mountain he was haning from pollypro rope he had rigged to 'help him'.

Around Banff he was not known as the brightest bulb in the pack...

I wonder what this guy DID say as he dropped off the edge. I know what I would have said if it was me. It wouldn't be Yeeehawww!!!...and it isn't printable in this family forum. ;)

Genetics plays the main role in natural selection. Parents? Perhaps they did the same thing.
Inability to pass on one's genes due to premature death by stupidity plays a fairly large role in natural selection.;)

Breeding for earlier and earlier stupidity is how it works. :) ...unless, of course, you believe in stochastic and dramatic genetic changes supported by dramatic climate shifts. Oh nooooooo.....;)
