My friend gave me some cool looking Peavey SP3g speakers but with no cords or receiver/amp.

I have no clue about speakers at all so my question is what would I need to buy to my these speakers into a home audio system. Is there anything i can connect them to so i can play music through bluetooth?

First of all PA speakers make lousy home speakers. Peavey speakers especially are are nasty harsh earful.

If you want to use them you will need a bluethooth compatible receiver. The speakers are passive and contain no amps.

I bet a lot of the PA speakers don't sound that great.

But I'm sure you have not heard ALL PA speakers, especially from higher-end JBL Pro -- the Harman company that believes in flat on-axis and smooth linear off-axis response and invested tons of money on speaker research.

Unless you are talking about aesthetic. In which case, yeah, all PA speakers pretty much look ugly. :D

The Frequency response on that speaker is about +/-3dB to +/-4dB. It is not considered the most accurate, but certainly not the worst. The salient factor is how they actually sound to you. If you think they sound great, then they are great for you.

It appears it has DUAL 1/4" phone jack inputs, instead of simple wire connectors usually found on consumer home speakers. So you would need to buy a banana-to-1/4" phone jack connectors or adapters. Definitely a lot more complex than the usual home speakers.
