OK, let me first say my main music loves are from the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, Elton John, U2, Greenday, and recently have been enjoying UB40, Fleet Foxes, 10,000 Maniacs & many more in and out of that vein.

Recently I DVRed "PINK - Funhouse Tour: Live in Australia" from MTV HD and I have been loving it. I mainly recorded it for my Daughter who is 14. I didn't know the first thing about Pink, other than she existed. I figured she was another Brittany or Christina Aguilera or something. I was wrong, she is way more talented than any of them. She really has a great voice and is a real artist.

My enjoyment of the concert comes from the performance as much as the music. Pink conceived the show herself and as one reviewer said “A Pink show is more than just a pop concert – it’s a major spectacle that you can’t take your eyes off. The show was simply mesmerizing.”

But a lot of the music is really good also. She can really rock, doing a great cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. She also covers a Zeppelin song but they cut it from the TV version. A number of the "slower" songs are beautiful, with nice piano, violin and acoustic guitar solos.

I have not found a single negative review of this concert, Amazon has 50 reviews, 45-5 star, 1-4 star and the other 4 reviews are low because they are complaining of damaged discs.

Here is her performance from the 2010 grammys. She closes her concert with this song in a very similar performance.

Anyway, enough justification for me liking Pink, anyone else out there a Pink fan?

Brad
