Input assignments scrambled after power outage

I have had a Yamaha rx v1000 for five years, and it has performed very well. Recently, we had a power outage (during which the rx v1000 was not powered on) after which the input assignments became scrambled. For example, to get TV/Cable input to the device, I select "CD". It still seems to work fine, but how can I get the device to show the correct input selection again?
