I'm looking to power my center & surrounds in a HT setup. I currently have a Outlaw Mono powering my center & my NAD AVR is powering the surrounds. The Outlaw goes a great job with the center & the NAD with 80w also holds it's own with the surrounds.
My thinking is that down the road I'll be getting a dedicated prepro instead of an AVR so I need the amplification. I can buy 2 more Outlaw Monos but they are more money & add 2 extra PC's (not that big of a deal). Right now the XPA-3 is on sale at a great price & term "bang for the buck" comes into play. Sound quality I can only imagine that it's a toss up between them. But then again, maybe...maybe not. Any thoughts or experience comparing the two?
And no, I'm not looking for a 5 channel amp. And my two channel amp is a story for another day. Right now it's strictly about powering the center & surrounds.
