Outlaw LFM-1 EX with a HSU VTF-3 MK4 Subwoofer

Currently I have an Outlaw LFM-1EX sub. I have no issues with it but I'm thinking of adding a second sub to balance out the room. The Outlaw sub sits in a corner next to the sitting area. (combo sub & end table) The room is 17x17 with 12-14' ceilings and multiple openings to other parts of the house. I'm thinking of adding a VTF-3 MK4 or a second Outlaw sub. I'm leaning toward the VTF-3 because of the extra control features.
Would the VTF-3 or a SVS PB12-NSD be compatible with the Outlaw Sub?
Would it be a better idea to sell the Outlaw sub and use a single larger sub such as HSU VTF-15H, ED A5-350, etc ?
Any suggestions or other ideas?
Thanks

I would stick with the Outlaw....not so easy to match subs with different drivers and box designs and get them setup properly.

Since Dr. HSU gave input in the design of Outlaw sub's, i wouldn't think a VTF & Outlaw combo, couldn't work.....

I have two LFM-1 EXs working with two VTF3 mk3s, they get along very nicely. Since they have so much in common, there is no reason why they shouldn't. Same output capabilities, almost the same tuning point. What you don't want to do is mix and match with subs with different output capabilities and frequency responses.

Yeah EX & VTF-3 are nearly identical in their performance. I give the VtF-3 the edge in performance. So yes they would work great together. I have read of a few people that mix those subs. I agree not to mix different subs that are different sizes, different designs (sealed/ported/PR) or different output capabilities. But those 2 will be like long lost brothers so no worries!!

Id say go with dual subs. Those subs have such good output that if both subs are placed correctly & dialed in they will make for a very nice experience.
