I am looking for a single channel amplifer to drive my passive subwoofer. I built the sub using the Dayton MKII driver which is 4ohm and max wattage of around 400. I came across the M200 for only $299. I think to myself, wow, that is a good price for the wattage it puts out. Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about this amp? Thanks in advance, Paul.

***thread hijack!!***

And what about their model 950 pre-pro for $799? Too good to be true?

Have heard the amps are good.

The M-200 is worth every penny. I have three of them being used for my R, L, C Channels. It offers nice clean output with a slightly laid back feel. They are 18lbs of muscle apiece. Amps are really Outlaw's strong suit.

Good luck with your sub.

Have you looked into the NHT (www.nhthifi.com) they sell the A1 which is rated 250 Watts. I use their evolution M5 surrounds and the B5 woofer stands together with the X1/A1 crossover/amp combo to drive the Bass. I am looking into getting the Outlaw pre and pro for all the rest.
