For the same price in this bracket of subwoofers, get the dual subwoofers instead of larger subwoofer for the same price.:)

The LFM-1 is not a "small" subwoofer. Granted it is not one of the large SVS subs but one will fill a good size room and two..... well that would be very nice.:D

I've got one LMF-1 and I feel that it over-powers my room :) But if you can get two for that price, get two instead of one bad boy. It's gonna be a kick-*** setup.

I can also attest to a LFM-1 plus filling a 15 by 17 room as well as shaking the foundations of the rest of the house.:)

This is what i'm debating. I have a cerwin vega LW12, It just grunts along like the sub in the trunk of car. I have disconnected the frt. stereo speakers & after adj. volume (+10) will switch from DPL 1 to stereo, only the sub is on. THIS WILL NOT HURT ANYTHING. Listen to what the sub is doing. I remember someone writing that they put an ear on the sub & it sounded like a bass guitar. My cv-lw12 sounds like bumps, slight rumbling, but it's hard to make out what song is one:(.I have plenty of room for 2-subs. I need some thing to keep up with my JBL CF120 frt.s. My room is 30.3'x23.5' & 12' vaulted ceiling. It is too big for one. Can anyone make out songs on your sub?

In April/May range I'm pulling the trigger for two subs. My price point is 1k/1.
5k. The Cerwin Vega will be removed from the system. In my other smaller house it wasn't so obviously lacking. It runs out of steam too fast in this room. I wish I could buy a system but subs are all I can afford.

volume correction

I don't live here, I am a visitor from the outside world. The volume is at neg. 10, its very comfortable to liston to. My CV is crossed over at a fixed 80htz. When the vol. is at O its that will avage 93dbls through the room in 5-channel stereo. My room just breaths when I play Stone Temple Pilots (SIN) at "O" volume. I finally have the chance to up grade:D I am almost reluctant to seriously pick the subs out yet. When I lived in a smaller supported foundation house the lw12 was fun. But the last time I had this money the transmission in the car died. You know how much it sucks to do the right thing!;)
