Outlaw Amps discontinued

Hi,

Visited Outlaw Audio's web site to browse their power amps. Seems like all but there monoblocks are listed as discontinued. Example, if you go the Model 755 page, it says discontinued. Anyone know what is going on? Is the web page out of date, is the company still in business, etc.?

The 7125 is still available. They are most likely revamping their line. The M-blocks were originally called 200s and now they are 2200s. The price went up when they reintroduced them. :(

Give them a shout. I'm sure they could fill you in. ;)

gcmarshall,

Outlaw is still going strong. They are redesigning their line to match the style of the newer 990 pre/pro. They will be adding balanced outputs on the new 5 and 7 channel amps as well. The only downside is the price will be ~$200 more than the old line. I took advantage of the redesign and picked up 2 new 755 amps when they were selling them for $1149 and could not be happier.

This coincides with Dougs post. It was taken from the Outlaw Hideout.

However, we are pleased to announce some good news on that front, as the Model 7500 and Model 7700 are the products you have been waiting for. Unfortunately, they are not quite here yet, but we do hope to have them in stock within the next four to six weeks. As their designations suggest, the Model 7500 replaces the Model 755 as our five-channel amp, delivering 200 solid watts into eight ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, all channels driven, less than 0.08% THD. The Model 7700 replaces the Model 770 as our seven-channel entry with the same 200 watts per channel and “FTC specs”. Both have newly designed front panels that match the Model 990 along with the long awaited balanced inputs. As has always been the case with our multichannel amplifiers they are made in the USA.

Outlaw AMPS Spec change???

The new models (7500, 7700) show THD of 0.08 where as the 755 and 770 show 0.05? Is that correct?

yep you are correct but you won't be able to hear that. Don't forget that the spec is rated for all channels driven.
