Hello all, I have a covered outdoor trellis area and would like to speakers and a stereo system to it. I have standard 110 power-receptacles at the top of the beams just under the roof. If someone could be kind enough to suggest an exterior stereo system and speakers (either 2 or 4 speakers, 5"+/- w/ brackets to secure to wood columns) that I could use there. I would like the stereo system to have a remote w/ standard fm-am but also Bluetooth/wifi (Pandora) ability.. im not looking for a high end system w/ bass that moves my windows.. but a nice loud system that can be heard within the vicinity of the trells. Hopefully in the $300 range total

Thank you!

You want the electronics to live outside full time? Weather?

Thats a great question. i live in central florida.. so it rains almost everyday in the summer. id say no for the radio part itself.. unless theres one that has the noted features above and can be outside. it wont get rained on, but we have crazy high humidity. if not, i can connect/disconnect as needed.

speakers yes, they will stay outside all the time. wont get direct rain on though.

thanks !

Least electronics outside with speakers intended for outdoor use sounds like the best way to go, wired from a receiver (probably) inside the house. What would the distance be of such wiring?

I've left these speakers outside in summer/winter weather for a coupla years so far (not Florida style, Oregon style so less humidity but bigger temperature swings) and while they should be supported by a sub ideally (I use a wireless model at times during the summer) they're holding up well enough so far https://www.amazon.com/Dayton-Audio-IO655W-Outdoor-Speaker/dp/B00CTWEDQ4

I'd look around at accessories4less.com for something that has the features/connectivity you want.

I would be conscious of any speakers and electronic devices left outside for their design, in that little rodents just LOVE to find new places to hide, live, and/or chew. It can happen overnight the first time, though it usually takes a little time of being out there for the pests to become comfortable that they won't be persecuted.
