This is a very complicated setup, as i am going to have 4 in ceiling speakers, two speakers that are pots, and a mounted wall speaker... all outdoors. all speakers have their own wire ran to a select location.. the only issues is getting them the mass power that they need, also i would like to hook this up to a tv.?? any suggestions for this amplification??

now is where it gets a bit more tricky... the contractor has ran only one wire to the pool:confused: he said i could put multiple speakers out there.. but unless he knows some way to split the power effectively i think it would sound horrible.. any suggestions??

Are you trying to establish a surround sound setup? Or do you just want all the speakers playing the same music at all times? Do you have a specific budget in mind?

You'll have to change the wall speaker, it's a 70v.
Or is that what you want?
It's not compatible with the others you have.

The only way one wire would work, would be a 70v system.
One wire would be mono.
You would need an amp that was compatible with a 70v speaker.
A 70v system doesn't sound that great. It's more for background music; like in a doctors office.

Does he expect to run all the speakers you've linked to from that one wire?
If so, they all need to be 70v speakers, along with the correct amp.
Or are you talking two different areas?

So just to clarify. I checked your links. You have 4 speakers in the ceiling ( 8ohms each) and 2 flower pot speakers ( 8 ohms each). All 6 speakers will be playing the same music so we could say 3 pairs of speakers playing in stereo.

Like Rickster said I don't understand what you will need the 70V speaker for or how you expect to utilize it. Looking at the 6 speaker you already have I can not imagine how that extra speaker is really going to improve you sound. I would think with the number and quality of the speakers you already have should be more than enough volume to fill a very large outdoor area.

As far as powering them you could likely get away with a simple 6 channel amp.

If this is more than you want to spend you can get a few 2 channel amps and chain them together.

Do you already have a stereo reciever? If so does it have preamp outs?
