I have no idea what happened, but I had the drivers from the 3-way's out of the enclosure.

I was stuffing fluff into the 3-ways.

All the sudden they start making the worst schreeching noise at the highest freq. possible.

I have no idea what happened, but my receivers fine.

Unfortuneatly, I now have the worst headache of my life. And no speakers.

..... Did they blow?

Maybe the fluff touched something it should not have? I don't know.

Its a lesson best learned on speakers. Now imagine if you tried to adjust your alternator belt with the motor running......

Please say that was meant in a hypothetical manner. You didn't ACTUALLY try that, right?

My mechanic assured me it was the best way to get the velocity belt aligned with the Jupiter rings.
