Orion 32082 Tv With Bush Amplifier Question

Hi, i dont know much about this kinda stuff but Ive just brought a BUSH amplifier for my TV as I was told that I needed an amplifier to connect two stereo speakers which I had lying about. Once i connected these up through phono wires, the speakers were really loud and distorted, i couldnt control the volume and it just stayed the same. Does anyone know wat the problem could be? THanks

Yes. You are using line outs that have fixed output. See if your TV has a variable audio line out. It likely does not, in which case you need a preamp before your power amp. or swap your power amp to an integrated amp.

No you do not want this. It is a phono preamp to be used with a turntable. You need a preamp with volume and tone controls.

Since you have a Bush product I assume you are in the UK. You have given no details of this Bush amplifier, can you provide some? Is it a power amp or an integrated amp. May be you connected your TV the wrong side of the preamp if it is an integrated amp. From what I know of Bush they are pretty low end. At least when I lived in the UK you would have walked right by a by anything labeled Bush. So I'm surprised to hear they even make a power amp. May be they don't and your connections are entirely irregular. You need to provide many more details.
