Original PS3-time to upgrade?

Hi. I have had the original black and silver PS3 for about 7-8 years and I'm wondering if there's anything I'm missing in regards to decoding and sound quality.

Any thoughts?

Any recommendations on a bluray players?

I still have my original and my Slim. I use the PS4 almost exclusively now though. PS3 has pretty much the same capabilities as the PS4 in terms of sound AFAIK though.

I thought there was a diff between the the old PS3 and the slim/ps4 but I could be wrong

PS4 seems to be more limited on streaming options than PS3, but they are continuously adding to the list of big names like Netflix etc. The hardware changes in the PS4 don't seem to make a difference on sound quality.
