Organizing Music Collection - I really didn't know where to go with this

I am trying to organize my music on my laptop, I want to easily move all music to folders with a folder structure such as the one below

Music>Artist>Album(with Album YR)>Songs

Meaning I would have my Music folder, with each of the Artists listed, then when you click on an Artist such as Kings Of Leon, it would then open to a folder listing all the Kings Of Leon CD's/Discography, opening to another folder listening the songs/tracks for that CD

I really have no idea how to do this besides doing it by hand which would take an extremely long amount of time. Are there any easier ways to do this?

I apologize if this is a question better suited for a different forum, I just didn't know where to ask. Thank you in advance for anyones time and help!

You're in the right place and I could use some help in this area myself. So far my snooping around has left me with iTunes only because it did one particular thing that I wanted. That's probably not what you're after but real help should be on the way. It might take until sometime Monday for answers though.

I've always done it by hand It does take some time if you are renaming or restructuring an existing library, but I pretty much built mine from scratch this way.

Mine is like this:

I like having the year in front of the album title so if I wanted to play an artist folder it would play the albums in the proper order.

Hi. This might help. It's the first thing that popped up on Google for "have itunes organize my music." There are a number of other hits, but I watched this, and I think that it's what you would like to do.
