You guys have to be kidding. $1200 for that? Bose killers? Who cares, if you spend that kind of scratch on those, you need help, and lots of it.

How cheap are you? Allot of people out there want a system that is small and out of the way hence why B&O products sell like hot cakes.

If you do not like the orb speakers then maybe spend a little more and buy the anthony gallo setup or if you want reference sound you can go all the way with B&O.

I'd be willing to bet that if you performed measurements of this sony set and those orbs, there wouldn't be more than 4db of diff.
How much do you want to bet?

B&O? Are you serious? Their best years are behind them, and those weren't great.

I guess someone will have to buy the product and ship it to audioholics. With those measurements you would be hard pressed to do that with a higher end paradigm system.

I've always put BeoLabs in the same bracket as Bose. I've never been that impressed with the sound. Super marketing program and great WAF. Just my opinion.

I do like the Gallo Reference 3. Just not their softball speakers.

Obviously you have not had a good demo at the B&O store. B&O are the only company that has the high WAF factor and still produces quality sound.

While I wouldn't put B&O into any value catagory, I can vouch that they have good sound, along with stellar (albeit odd) looks. They put a lot of money into their R&D. Do some reading on some of their speakers. They're pretty darn impressive to me.

I agree with Buck, they are overpriced and lack sonic quality. They used to make a great linear track turntable though.

Jaxvon,
They are all show and no go IMO. Have you heard them recently after leaving a high end store? As much money as they pour into their listening rooms, you'd expect much, much more. Maybe they forgot to run the room eq. :)

No, I haven't done that. In fact, it's been years since I've visited the B&O store, and I didn't listen in a quiet room with my reference material. I did that only a few weeks ago at one of the local hi-fi stores (remeber the Phase Tech drooling?).

All the B&O nonsense aside, I think you can find much better speakers that still retain the WAF and don't look like Danish modern art.

Speaking of Danish stuff, I think these speakers would win for WAF, but I still wanna hear them. Hey sleestack, wanna buy something else? :D

No, because unlike other companies they do build there products with quality and they do performe well for there SIZE. So do not even start to classify B&O with bose or the like.
