Optoma HD81-LV Decision Help

I just wanted some opinion on this.

A friend of mine says he can get me the Optoma HD81-LV for $2K.

This one review measured the ANSI lumens of the HD81-LV to be 2,906 lumens!

That is extremely bright for any projector under $10K.

What do you guys think???

That is very bright for sure,and a good price. I would go for it.

Specs look great. For 2 grand I would be starting a thread saying "Look what I just bought"!!

You sure it's not stolen?

You won't find a projector equivalent to that one for less than $6k or more. It's definitely a light cannon if you feel like watching stuff in ambient light. Placement is tough with the lens angle and no lens shift, but if you have the room for it you're going to be very happy with that projector.
