Got an Optoma HD70 projector today from BB. After having configured my sound system back in January, I did not anticipate buying a projector this year. But we moved to a new house and I got a 100% HT dedicated room (17 x 15). I moved my setup in this room, but the 26 inch Sony Vega which I had been using for movies since a long time remained in the family room. So I borrowed my kid's 21 inch just as a temporary arrangement, but out of sheer cosmic conspiracy, I blew it up this week
So there was a renewed inspiration to get the display set up. Back in Feb I had spent a lot of time researching on Plasmas and almost had my mind set on the 50 Panny. But I still had an inclination towards a projector. So finally this week, after executing the fastest purchase within my HT setup, (and of course with the approval of the wife) I got Optoma HD70. Got the BB guy to bundle the PJ, an 84 inch pulldown screen with taxes for under 1K.
I will be setting it up tonight and share the results with you. Cant wait to get it setup.
