Option disable - How to enable XVYCC for a PS3?

Hi,

I have a SAMSUNG LCD LN40A650 with XVYCC support. For my hometheater (Philips Soundbar 6100) I have enable the XVYCC option, but when I switch to my PS3 (also connected trought HDMI 1.3 cable and with MOVIE picture set) the option is GREY.

Is this normal? How can I activate this for BR/DVD content? I actually download a BR trailer and I try to enable it while playing, but no success.

At this moment, there is precisely ZERO content using the expanded xvYCC colour space & gamut.

If and when xvYCC content is ever released, you can expect a firmware update for the PS3 that will enable the wider colour space & gamut output. For the time being, all you need to worry about is accurate reproduction of the ITU rec.709 colour space & gamut for HD content and the ITU rec.601 colour space & gamut for SD content

Go into your display and receiver/soundbar menu options and disable xvYCC for the time being. Until there is some xvYCC content, you do not want to use the wider colour space & gamut.
