I was given some Sony wireless headphones for Christmas. They have the capability of reproducing various surround sound modes but only through the optical input on the transmitter.

I route all my components trhough a Denon AVR3300 which does not have any optical outputs.

The only optical inputs to my Denon are my DVD player and my DirecTV/Tivo box.

Are there any switch boxes out there that will allow me to plug in the optical outs from my DVD player and my DirecTV/Tivo and then switch them to one of two optical outputs, one of which goes to my Denon and the other that goes to the wireless headphone trasmitter? Ideally with a remote control of course!

I know more modern AVR s have optical out connections, but I'm trying to avoid spending abunch of money on a new receiever if I can get a switch box for less.

Thanks,
Pete

Yes, there are many brands of optical switches available. Start your search at good old Radio Shack.

No Coax out either

Unfortunately, the Denon doesn't have a coax out either so I guess I'll have to search round for a switch but thanks for the suggestion.
