Just picked up an HD-DVD player, and have a PS3 on the way, so no need for 3 players that will upconvert. Selling my mint condition Oppo 971H in original packaging, for $100 + shipping. It has the newer style remote, and has the latest firmware on it.

This is an incredible deal, GlocksRock.

If shipping to Canada wasn't such an ordeal, I would grab this Oppo up in a second.
Somebody has to buy this dvd player. It will wipe the floor with those name brand upconverting players in the $100 - $200 range.

I know it's a steal, and I am very surprised that nobody has jumped on it yet. I thought it was a great deal at $100 shipped, but I guess people think that all upconverting players are equal, and since Best Buy is selling one for $50 or so that it's just as good, but they just haven't done their homework.

I may put it on ebay, I already listed it on craigslist. I would prefer to sell it locally to avoid shipping, but I may just keep it for in the future when I upgragde other tvs in the house to HD.
