Oppo BDP-93 or not?

Hi,

I recently purchased a pair of B&W speakers and a Marantz amp. When I went to Best Buy to look at a CD player, a store assistant actually advised me against a CD player and recommended the Oppo BDP-93 (which Best Buy does not carry by the way). My initial research shows that the Oppo 93 seems to have been well received. However, I have absolutely no need for its video capabilities (I don't even own a TV). It would seem to me if I spend $500 on the Oppo 93, I'll be spending much of my money on things I won't be using. I only care about audio quality and that's why I was looking at a CD player in the first place.

Much of my music is, however, from Rhapsody so a CD player is not ideal either. What would you guys recommend? Oppo 93, Cd player or something else?

You may want to consider something like a Sony BDP s570. I have one and like it. SACD, built in wireless for Pandora and Slacker. I use mine for music more than movies.

Prices vary. I've seen them as low $149.00 for this model. with a little effort you can find a good deal.
