Oppo BDP-83 will not read Bluray disc.

I have an OPPO BDP-83 and I have only One Bluray disc that it will not read. I believe the Issue may be causer by the fact you can see through the disc if you hold it up to light so the laser may be just going right through the disc. Is there any way to get this disc to play?

Have you checked the "region" for that disk? Perhaps it is for a different region than your BDP is set. Somebody gave me a BD for a present once, and it wouldn't play. Turns out she got it online, (cheap), and it was not for my region.

Got it at Walmart. I loaned it to a friend and his cheap player reads it. But unlike any other disc I have you can see right through it. So I am wondering if there is a cure. Any Suggestions?
