OPPO BDP 83 SE not reading SACD and MCH layers on CD/SACD and MCH encoded discs.

Player reads SACD only discs perfectly. However on multilayer encoded discs, it always defaults to the CD layer...this despite the fact that the SACD/CD priority control is set to “SACD”. Am running the latest firmware and reset unit to factory settings. No change. Any suggestions?

Was there a button on the remote to "force" a layer switch? I don't recall, has been a while since I sold mine. Solid player. How many disc have you tried? It is all hybrids?
