I'm considering using a seperate DAC for conversion. I'm thinking about the Cambridge Audio DACmagic or Musical Fidelity V-DAC. Maybe even a PS Audio DAC. So you can see that my price range is in the below $1000 range and the V-DAC is significantly below $1000. I will be upgrading my speakers soon which i know will make the biggest difference in overall sound but if i could squeeze out a little extra quality i'd do it.
Just wanted some opinions before i take a road trip to audition a couple of these DAC's.
