Oppo 980 & dvd dl +r

Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat, my oppo cant play dual layer +r dvds properly, its starts freezing after it switches to the next layer.
I d/l and installed the latest firmware update (beta) :
"This firmware version enhances compatibility to some DVD+R and DVD-R media, large Xvid files on USB drives"

I guess mine wasnt one of them.

Let me know if you guys have the same issues as well.

There is a good chance it is either the media or the way it was burned, as I haven't had any issues with DL +R discs I've burned for mysel (I burn at 1X, various media)

i think I burn at 2.4x, i use slysoft clonedvd

I use slysoft also and with higher speeds I had some issues. Yes, 1x is slow, but since I switched to it, I have had zero coasters.

hmm, interesting, I think Im gonna give it a try. I thought 2.4x would be low enough.
