Does anyone know if the oppo 83 decodes dolbytruehd 7.1 surrond or dtshd master audio 7.1
i bought an expensive sony blue ray player that did not decode these audio formats.

No Oppo BDP-83 in Europe!

I was told directly by Oppo sales that they have canceled all plans for a European version of the BDP-83 so unless one wants to privately import, region modify (voiding warranty) a player one needs to look for another brand ...

That is odd considering their recent announcements about their business said their new operations would be based in England. Perhaps that means they will eventually have a "official" firmware that allows use in different regions.
