I checked out The Speaker Company website and liked the look and price! of the TSAT-2000 system. I have a $600-1000 budget on a speaker and sub system. I like slim or smaller speakers although im considering floor standers for my mains but even those i want a slimmer style to go with good sound.
Anybody have the TSAT-2000s or any other TSC speakers? Check them out on the website and tell me what you think. Thanks

I have their ASW-10 subwoofer which I got for $100 during their November sale. Solid performance at that price point.

Can't comment on the particular speaker set you're looking at though.

A friend on another forum bought a set up from them a few weeks back. I can't remember exactly which one but it came with the 10'' sub. Anyway he is very happy with it and said for the money it is a great deal. Really you can't lose because of their 30 day return policy of which they pay if you send it back.

I bought two different sets from them.

First the TST3 tower - http://www.thespeakercompany.com/TST3-High-Performance-3-Way-Tower-Speaker-Pair-P58C8.aspx
The cabinet could use a little more internal bracing. Good for $600 a pair.

Next was the TSBL bookshelf - http://www.thespeakercompany.com/TSBL-65-2-way-Bookshelf-Speaker-Pair-P46C6.aspx
It had a $50 off coupon here at AH, though I think the last day for it was the 17th.
They were a steal for $129 and still are at their regular price.

Can't miss a chance to comment on their great customer service.
Nick Valente and Mike Halperin were both very helpful and quickly responded to any emails.

Any idea how those compare with the Infinity Primus P362? Just wondering.
Good question. The TST3 about the same price as the P362 (list). However, it has more drivers than the P362. The TST3 claims to go all the way down to 20Hz. So they are trying to compete with the Polk RTi12 and RTiA9? That would actually be 1/3 of the price rather than just half.

Needs more cabinet bracing? Sounds like the P362 all right! :p

8 Ohms and 95dB sensitivity? There's amps to spare with this one. A cheap Sony, Kenwood or Aiwa receiver can drive these things. Dual binding posts for bi-wiring/bi-amping? Yeah, that's similar to the RTi12. However, that backfiring port means there will be no corner placement for cheap bass reinforcement. I hope someone (calling Audioholics staff) will measure this puppy. Those numbers on the specs page look just wow.

I've never listened to the P362s, so I can't really say.

There is a mod done by WmAx around the forum, on the Primus 362.

You could always try the TST3s for 30 days, and see what you think. The have free return shipping.

I think WmAx is also checking out the TSBL 6.5" bookshelf. Would be interested in his findings.

I ask because I own the P362s. :D I absolutely love how they sound, matched with the PC350 center.

What made me curious is indeed the claim that it goes down to 20Hz (but no indication whether it's -3dB point) and that it has dual 8-inch woofers on the side. The RTi A9 (similar to the RTi12) only goes down to 30Hz!

Plus, are they really easy to drive? Don't those dual 8-inchers make the impedance dip down? I know the Polk RTi12/RTi A9 are power hungry and won't sound good enough if not given proper juice.

The TST3 towers are what used to be the Sapphire ST3s.
So if you can find a review on the Sapphire it will be the same.

I have to say; my subjective opinion is to take the specs with a grain of salt.
Frequency Response 20-20KHz
Crossover Frequency
Impedance in Ohms 8
Power handling (watts) 15-150
Sensitivity 95 dB

You are over thinking this. If you love what you have stick with it.

My next set of speakers will most likely be from TSC. I don't have a big budget, nore will I know how to explain 1000 dollar speakers to the significant other.

If I remember correctly, AH is putting the finishing touches on a review for the TST2's. I'm personally looking forward to that review.

I own the TST3's and absolutely love them. I also got them at a really low price during the November "overstock" sale.
What swayed me away from the TST2's was a sort of luke warm review that I read here:
http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/speakers/595/youre-surrounded-page3.html

The Sapphire audio St2 is supposedly identical, minus the tweeter color, to the Tst2.

From what i've read the St1 and the St3 are the more neutral speakers in that series.
