I'm looking for some opinions on speakers under $1,000 a pair. Some considerations:

1) I don't much bottom end (using a sub)
2) Appearance doesn't mean too much
3) I won't do mail order
4) 2 channel listening is #1
5) Using separate power amp and processor
6) New room

Thank you!

For $800 MSRP, I think the Paradigm Studio Reference 20's are great sounding speakers for two channel listening. An authorized dealer may be willing to knock off 10%. Another one to consider is the JMJabs Chorus 707 S which, I believe, has an MSRP of around $1,000.

I've been eyeballing them Paradigms for a while now. I'm going back and forth between the Magnepans and Paradigms plus a few others...

Thanks for the input!

One word: Monitors. :D

Sonus Faber Concertino's
Von Schweikert VR-1's
Totem Rainmakers
DynAudio Audience 52's
Dali's.........on and on

Good Luck with sooo many choices. I chose DynAudio's. Peace_
