Opinions on my planned setup.

I posted a part of this in the "System Layout" area of the forum.

Just wanted to also get some opinions on the speakers that I chose. Tell me what you think:

Center - Bic Acoustech HT-65
Front - Bic Acoustech HT-75
Sub - Bic Acoustech H100
Surrounds - A/D/S C500iw

Display - Optoma H31

This is a diagram of the room that all this is going in. I plan on mounting the screen on the western wall. All walls are solid 8" poured concrete brick and the floor is
terazzo.

Any suggestions and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Never heard those speakers before, but others here have and seem to be pretty happy with them. As for the room layout I would definitely look into some sort of acoustical dampening for the room, especially with concrete walls and terrazzo floors you'll have sounds bouncing all over the place otherwise.

Are there any specific downfalls in my speaker choice? Do you think that the a/d/s will match up ok with the Acoustech?

Is there any reason why you have ADS surrounds and not BIC? the BIC surrounds for that system are pretty good, and having them will give you the same timber for the whole system(not that big of a deal for surrounds though). As for the subwoofer, Member Brian3267 something (sorry) said that its more for movies then music, as its a little boomy, or has a little to much harmonic distortion. The subwoofer doesn't have to match the speakers so if you wanted you could swa it out for an hsu or svs equivilent(in price) one.

Other than the fact than I can get the a/d/s ceiling speakers here in the Bahamas, no I have no reason for going with them. The setup that I have planned out in my head doesn't allow for me to mount the Acoustech HT-63's to the side walls due to the fact that I am going to have pull back panel blinds that will slide into that eastern corner of the northern wall and I am planning on putting a little bar area on the eastern end of the breakfast nook. A buddy of mine is the Directed Electronics dealer here in the Bahamas and he has the a/d/s in stock.

Anyone have any experience with these ceiling speakers, or any ceiling speakers for surround for that matter.
