in researching a/v unit focused on 3803 v. rxv 2400. 4802r
appears to have overall better specs than 3803, without the video conversion feature. don't know if this would be a real world problem with the 3 component video ins. any comments or experience with 4802r. is the 2x 3803 price a good return on audio/video quality?
Thanks.

Wish I could give you actual real world experience with the two. One odd thing, given the price, is that the 3803 has a wider component video bandwidth that the 4802R (100 mhz vs. 50 mhz). But it does have 3 component vid inputs, which would be nice if you're a video game fan (like me).

I'd be tempted to wait a couple of months on either, myself. The new models are due out shortly, and I'd hate to blow that much cash without at least seeing what the new years models add for features. I expect the 4802R, at least, to get a makoever (it's kinduva stopgap model, anyway).
