Opinions: Boston acoustic flagship E SERIES

I have searched(trust me!) on any info about Boston acoustics "E" series speakers. The were release at CES 06 or 07. I am wondering if there any any owners in here and could chime in on their quality. Also, what receiver, amp, etc you are using. I just purchased a set of E100 for the L/R, E70 for C, and E40 for surrounds. THanks!

Yeah, I Don't see them on the Boston site....Boston used to have a niche somewhat like Paradigm does now... a shame what has happened to the brand.Some of their recent products are less than inspiring. I guess they are primarily concerned with product lines for boxstores now..I have an old set of CR8 bookshelf models which are last CRs made in USA.....quite frankly they are awful...I saw the same CES recap you mention and as I recall, the "E" products were very expensive which may be why they were not well received or in fact never actually sold

Their old VR series stuff was pretty good but I'm leery of the new form over function designs. I'd give a listen before spending any money.

thanks, I cant listen because these speakers seem to be discontinued....
After searching it looks like they had too high of a price tag.. which leads me to believe why there aren't too many E series owners....
Anyone/??

Hello,
I am considering purchasing a set of E100's and I was wondering what you thought of your setup? I have loved Boston Acoustics speakers since I was in college. I have a set of VR40's and the Lynnfield 500L's as well. I think that they sound great! How do the E series sound to you?
