I'm looking for some feedback from the "bass heads". I'm about to buy a sub woofer. I had pretty much settled on a SVS PB12 plus/2 when I found I could get a velodyne DD-12 for about the same price from an authorized dealer (military exchange). I hadn't considered Velodyne before due to their prices being considerably higher than I wanted to spend, but I hear the DD line produces excellent bass, both for music and movies. And now that both are in my budget, can the DD-12 perform as well as the PB12 plus/2 or better? I haven't heard either one of the subs, but I hear nothing but good reviews for both so once again, your experience and opinions are desired. Lemme know what you think.

I think the SVS will edge out the Velodyne in SPLs and extension, but the Velodyne with be easier to set up, and have lower distortion. It all depends on what you want.
