It's a good deal only if you can audition them and think they sound great.
Otherwise, it is a total waste of money.
Unless you like the sound of B&W, don't buy them without an audition.
Even their $25,000 flagship 800 Diamond speakers have a pathetic polar response (off-axis frequency reponse). Even the on-axis frequency response is pathetic for any speaker costing more than $2,000.
But putting all the measurements aside, they may sound 100% awesome to you or other people AFTER you audition them.
And this pertains to all speakers, not just B&W.
Wilson Audio speaker have terrible frequency responses too, but some people think they sound awesome.
So if you can audition those speakers and find that they sound awesome, then buy them.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you enjoy the sound of your speakers.
P.S. You may think I hate B&W, but I love the way the 800 Diamond looks. And I may end up buying them just for that in the future.
