I have 5.1 speakers hooked to Denon x4500H receiver.Sometimes when playing music via internet radio, the music comes only from the center speaker. I experience this when i select the Dolby surround or Dtx neutral sound mode which i prefer using.I use the Heos app to manage the music. Is there any way to set it up so i can hear the music through all the speakers? I dont like using the multi channel sound mode. Thanks in advance for the help.

Any particular streaming service? How about if you stream without using Heos? You should be able to get the 5.1 upmix otherwise....I don't blame you on the multich stereo mode....

Just spitballing... any possibility it's because there is a Mono signal coming in for some reason rather than a stereo signal?
Does it play normally if you switch to "simple" Stereo?

Good point mono signal (and I've encountered more than one type) can do weird things.

In a way, that's a solution if the signal is mono, but is it? What are you listening to particularly when you get the center-only?

I haven't even activated my Heos thing. I just stream to the avr and haven't had any issues, using various ways of streaming (my own content as well as others)

More would be content based, are you using really old recordings or something? If not so far I suspect Heos, especially if you can stream directly without using Heos successfully.....

Push the red music button and choose stereo from the sound mode options.

Then why use Heos?
yeah maybe he should use Bluetooth and see if the problem is resolved. I never even got to use heos on my newer avr before it died despite not being used in a year or so. Wireless music how can only a center play the music ?

Figure out the codex on there website or the specific music channel your listening too, that is very strange. Truly bizarre for anything to happen like this so only center has sound nothing else has anything…?? o_O
