Okay guys - planning out new theatre system - want to keep fairly simple - small rooms 13 X 16 but my only real option is the TV and main (bookshelves) in the corner of the room. IS this a no no?.

Not at all. Corner placement can actually help alleviate common acoustical problems associated with flat wall placement.

works pretty well, then you can hide your sub behind everything and its corner loaded

The angled side walls are good to direct early reflections away from you. The downside is the corner behind you acts like a big focusing megaphone, sending everything back at you slightly delayed.

Yup. Make sure you absorb that corner behind everything pretty well. You'll also have fun plotting reflection points on the back 2 angled walls.
