I just got home my Pioneer 1015TX, and Athena Micra 5.1 system. I wired them all up, hooked them up to the receiver and turned on the tv, xbox360, and a movie. It seems like the only sound i am getting is center and rear speakers. If i turn it onto stereo sound shouldnt the sound ceom from the 2 front? They are coming from the rear ones. I didnt do any tuning or setup whatsoever though. Could that be it? I am going to run the auto setup in the morning and see if that helps it or not. Anyone have any advice?

I looked up your Amplifier.

It sounds to me like you need to run the "Automatic MCACC".

Your amp has a 5-band EQ for each channel. Some of the channels might be muted by default (Which doesn't make sense, but factory settings are almost always crap, in my experience).

Or if you've already run the Automatic MCACC, there's apparently a way to fix it if you don't like what it did. A way to manually adjust the MCACC and the EQ of each speaker. The Auto MCACC might have tuned down the speakers you cant hear.

I mean, unless the channels you can't hear are just DOA, in which case you need to return the amplifier. But I doubt that's it. That's too nice of an amp for that.

I want an amp that good.

Check the simple things first. Are the front speakers connected to the main front speaker outputs? A common oversight is to connect them to the secondary (B) terminals but have the receiver set to play the A terminals or both speakers set off.

Yep. My thoughts exactly.

You beat me to it.

The back of these receivers can be very tight, poorly labeled, and confusing.
