Seeing the speed with which the direct-from-the-manufacturer speaker market has grown, it makes me wonder why very few have tried other components. I would imagine they'd be easier to sell because stats are much more telling on receivers and dvd/cd players than on speakers. Their sound can't vary nearly as much, so people would worry less about a bad purchase.
Are there any companies other than Outlaw that actually take advantage of the online marketplace? Any speculation as to why its less popular?
