Onkyo volume level drop?

Hi all,

Noob to the forum. Looking forward to soaking up all the good info you've got here.

Quick question - I have a Onkyo HTIB (S590). The other day I noticed that the volume level seems to have dropped a little. I have to turn it up to about 45 to hear about the same thing I was able to hear at level 30 . Also, it seems to only happen to Video 1. I can't figure out what happend. Any ideas?

volume drop

when we have a power glitch..short outage, the volume on my cable box reverts to the factory setting which is about half volume....I then have to reset it to max volume, which in turn, returns the receiver volume to previous levels....

Another reason why I recommend a smart on line UPS systems rather than surge protectors.

Hmm.. I will look at this. We had a power glitch last week during some heavy storms. I checked all the cables, and looked at all the settings but didn't see anything amiss. I will look closer to the cable box (that is the source for Video 1).
