Onkyo TX SR806 Speaker Tests on Every Power Cycle

Receiver goes through speaker test when cold on initial startup. Then, the white noise slowly fades away and the unit will operate quietly. I have checked the setup and performed what I thought was a factory reset without resolution. I do not have the "no sound problem"...I'm just having an unwanted test sound problem. Thanks for any feedback.

What was the routine for the factory reset that you did? Your manual says: "To reset the AV receiver/AV amplifier to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR] button, press the [ON/STANDBY] but-ton. “Clear” will appear on the display and the AV receiver/AV amplifier will enter Standby mode. "


My first step would be a soft reset (unplug for a while) and then a microprocessor/factory reset....maybe several resets.
