Onkyo TX-SR607 vs Sony STR-DA2400

Which one is better? I placed an order of Onkyo 607 from 6ave.com for US$375 and I just found out a local AV store has Sony STR-DA2400ES for CA$560 (or US$510 with the current rate).

Which one should I go with for the sound quality and best bang for the buck?

Another vote goes out for Onkyo. I've never been a big fan of Sony audio products as a whole. Every once in a great while they have a reasonably nice product, like the STR-DG1000 was a pretty sweet deal considering all that it did at the time of it's release.

That was the price at Accessories 4 less, about two weeks ago.
I guess they have sold them all, because it ain't there any more.
But I'm sure a second batch is coming soon.
You just have to keep an eye open for it, and then be quick with that click "Enter" button on your keyboard.

I got it from 6ave.com when they have a promotion 25% off MSRP. I cannot resist so I purchased it immediately but it's still in back ordered and not shipped yet. You can call them and bargain a bit to match their past promotion.

AC4L only has 606 refurb for $320 plus $25 shipping cost. They don't have 607 since it's too new for them to have, i guess.

3. I made a mistake, it was indeed the 607 that was at 6th avenue for the price you got it at.
And the 606 is still at AC4L. So is the Onkyo TX-SR876 and the Marantz SR4003, SR5002, SR5003, SR6001, SR6003, SR7001, SR8001, SR7002 & SR8002.
All of these receivers are excellent and at good discount too, in particular the older Marantz ones.
