Onkyo TX-SR606 Question

Hello all, just a quick question about the Onkyo. I read Cnet's review of the reciever and it really sounds like a great buy. The only thing they noted was the video going through the unit via HDMI was not as good as a direct connection. The main reason I am upgrading is to gain the new sound formats that my HK reciever will not do. So, the big question is can the Video "pass through" the reciever and only the audio be processed? Any answers are welcome. (My price range is only $400 or less is my other issue)

I believe you should be just fine. I think, at least with the older xx5 models, its the conversion of component inputs, outputted as HDMI, that could be problematic. I don't know any better, because all I use is HDMI since last year. Cheers.
