Onkyo TX-SR507 Replacement

Hi all, hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!

Recently, my parents sr507 crapped out and I'm starting to look for a replacement. I would like to get something around $400 with decent 5.1 performance, can handle hdmi and PCM pass through, and has powered zone 2 for outside speakers. Would also be willing to entertain having a separate stereo amp for the outside if the price for both units were comparable.

Send it to Onkyo they will repair it for free. Call them for instructions.

Yep If it's audio related. You can always buy them a new one and have the onkyo as a backup

I will definitely check that out. Unfortunately, it is suffering from the flashing standby light and doesn't turn on at all. Not sure if they'll consider that audio related.

I tried to visit the Onkyo recall site you provided but it rejected my model/serial number for that program.

Ended up buying the Yamaha. Seemed like too good of a deal to pass up and I've always been very open to the value you get with factory refurbished ht equipment. Will try to come back and update once it's installed and I get to play with it a bit. Thanks again!
