Future is in Auro 3D

Hi is here anyone well informed if the currently new Onkyo tx-rz50 receiver will be able to adopt Auro 3D decoding via firmware update? Thank you.

It´s highly unlikely as they have saved Auro 3D and DLBC for the higher models which are released 2022:

Two Onkyo AVR models with Dirac Live Bass Control (available separately as an optional software upgrade) and Auro 3D will be available early 2022.

The TX-RZ70(11.2 channels) and TX-RZ90 (13.2 channels) will sell for around 2000$ and 3000$, respectively (+ 450$ for multichannel DLBC license).

According to DIRAC's site - which is terribly shy on technical details.
$499 for a Multi Subwoofer DLBC license? Ouch.
I'll stick with the miniDSP 2x4 HD with Multi Sub Orptimizer (MSO).
