I just purchased a TX-RZ50 and am planning on slowly replacing the 20+ year old speakers I got used while in college 10 years ago. My setup is currently 5.1. My center and rears are 8 ohms. The left and right are 6 ohms. The amplifier is set to 6 ohms or above.

I want to replace them with 4 ohm speakers. The issue is that this receiver has 2 settings - "4 ohms" or "6 ohms or above".

I plan on replacing the center first, followed by front left/right, then rears.

Since the amp can technically support 4 ohms (meaning no concern of over-heating), would it be ok mix these speakers and either leave it on the 6 ohms or above setting until all 5 speakers are 4 ohms speakers? I'm mostly concerned about damaging the amp or the new speakers, I'm not too concerned about the old speakers.
