If you are using a PS3 as Bluray, you will not see "TruHD" because it sends the new lossless audio as PCM Multichannel (Pulse Code Modulation) the only way to see "TruHD", "DTS-HD" is to have the stand alone Bluray player send the signal as "Bitstream" and have the Onkyo decode the new audio. Now be careful because not all players allow bitstreaming, the early players only allowed two channel bit streaming or PCM multichannel for the 5.1/7.1 lossless audio. Now there is no real difference if you use Bitstream (if the player allows multichannel bitstream) or PCM, either way you will get the lossless audio. It would help us if you indicated what Bluray player you have and we can help you out further, if we knew if your player allowed bitstreaming. Most players within the last year allow bitstreaming of the new audio.

One more thing, you won't get lossless audio using yor optical cable (a mistake many make) you need to use either your HDMI cable to the 905 or if your player has multichannel analog preouts hooked up to the pre-ins of your 905 (it is better to use HDMI so you don't have to deal with bass management issues)
