ONKYO TX NR807 HDMI Input Issue

I have the above receiver. It used to work fine, but after a sound outage (now resolved), the receiver only recognized HDMI IN1. I can input either my blue ray or my cable box in IN1 and it works, but when I try either in HDMI IN3 (ideally for my cable/sat in), I get no audio or video to my tv. In the setup, I have turned on cable/sat to HDMI IN3, but it isn't working.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brick

Try a reset. If that does not work, it needs a new HDMI board (expensive).

OK, thanks TLS Guy. I hope it's not the HDMI board, but I will try a reset. I appreciate the help.

I have a tI'm looking to buy just the hdmi board and cannot find online where to buy one? I wanna try and fix this but don't know how much i want to throw at it but I only spent 40$ for the receiver. If there is somewhere to buy it surely it would have the dts chip issue fixed.

I think you wasted $40. I have a quick look around the suppliers of parts and don't see that board listed any more.

Usually there is only ever one production run of chip set boards. When they are gone, they are gone.

A lot, if not most of those boards failed, and I suspect the production run is gone. It won't be restarted. No, the problem with the board will not have been fixed.

If you find a board don't buy it. They used to go for around $200. That receiver was not worth what you paid for it, as it will cost you the gas to get it to the recycling center.

Call Onkyo Customer Service(1 (201) 785-2600) if it's a HDMI issue they may repair it for free. You will need to have your sales reciept.

I don't have the sales reciept BC I didn't buy it from a onkyo deale . Bought it from a classifieds site. I did see where onkyo offered the extended warranty but figured I wasn't eligible. I will definitely give it a shot. I will watch your video after work here and I thank you. I guess it sounds like no need wasting my time with it. It's just going ( to replace my pioneer vsx455 bc of the no hdmi port) in garage and being used for music and watching sports
